Trish (she/her) is a neurodivergent individual whose humble journey began in a rural town in Queensland, Australia. Growing up with five siblings, raising four children, and the proud grandmother of three very cherished grandchildren; family & acts of service have always been central to Trish's life. She has been told she has highly accurate and empathetic listening skills, perhaps because she recognises the importance of communication beyond words.Â
Contact MeTrish's experiences with suicidality and the limitations of traditional 'help' have created within her a deep desire to see systems evolve. She hopes that one day systems can hold distress & suicidality in ways which enhance & protect personal recovery capital so the person does not have to rebuild themselves after seeking help.
Over the past decade, Trish has focused on bridging gaps in the mental health system through roles in peer work, management, supervision, and education. She co-produced and facilitated Western Australia's inaugural Peer Supervision course, now in its third iteration. As an educator, research assistant, Personal Medicine Coach & Trainer, and Alternatives to Suicide Peer Group Facilitator & Trainer, Trish remains committed to knowledge-sharing as she believes it is the doorway to social change. When not working towards systemic change, Trish hangs out with her Russian Blue, "Belle". The world's most fussiest cat.
