Lived experience with ADHD and Depression cultivated my path from that of an engineer to a mental health professional. I have a master's degree in psychology, my experience in recovery-oriented mental health services started with my career at The Recovery House, a pioneering program to offer psychiatric rehabilitation services in Pakistan, I started my work as a case manager to moving up to a senior management position including care planning, assessments, inductions, and referrals.

I moved to the UK and started my career in health and social care and currently work as an assistant manager for a supported living program for adults with mental health conditions. I am also a part of the Recovery College, Camden, and Islington Trust for delivering CPMC courses to peer staff and other health care staff involved in working in the mental health department.

My trainings includes case management, cognitive behaviour therapy, exposure and response prevention for OCD, motivational Interviewing, WRAP, and just now I have completed my training to become a Certified Personal Medicine Coach and trainer. My goal and aim are to help people with severe mental illness live a successful life by means of self-advocacy, personal responsibility and informed decision making. I hope to help to grow the culture of recovery and person-centered care in Pakistan.
