Bonjour à toutes et tous, I'm one of those who did the travel from professional career as a social worker to peer support worker, going from mainly using scientific, theoretical and field knowledge, to publicly add experiential to it, at its heart. At one point, the fear of opening to stigmatization was overcome by my desire to do what I feel is right according to my life path avec actual values.
Becoming a CPMC is a way of deepening my social role and identity, of being helpful to those I can talk to, and to do it means to use it in my own life. For me, it opens to a new recovery community in mental health, but more probably in general human health and networking. I intend to make it known and used in Quebec and Canada traditional services with the influence of my employer, AQRP. I wish to make it known and used by my peers in Quebec and Canada with the help of our national association of peers, PvR (on which I'm on the board as president). I wish to help it be known by presenting it to scholars that can study it.
