I first became peer specialist in Massachusetts and then became CPS when I moved to Missouri in 2011, and started at the hospital in 2012.
I struggled with illness for many years stuck in the "fix me" mindset. I am anxious to share with peers the power they have to help their own recovery and the importance of what they can do along with taking their medication. I am also excited to share the importance of doing things with the rest of the team here.
