I believe every human deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I am a recovering addict with 28 years of sobriety. I am proud of my sobriety and proud to be able to share my experience, strength and hope with others. I have always had compassion for those who are struggling in life. We all need a hand up at times in our lives and I am honored to help those I can. I am a Peer Support Specialist on the NARA Northwest ACT Team. My history includes mostly work in call centers. I then adopted two children and was blessed to be a stay at home mom for nine years. During that time I returned to school and got my Bachelor's Degree in Human Services when I was 60 years old. I love the work I do and the clients I work with. Watching the growth and strength of my clients is inspiring and joyful to me. I became a CPMC so I could provide them with a stronger way to help them along in their recovery. Personal Medicine has so much to provide clients ways to work through any issues they have. Personal Medicine lets the client take the reins and decide what they feel they need to work most on instead of being told what to work on. I believe this gives them autonomy and power where they may not have thought they could manage their illness and recovery. Personal Medicine grows with the client.
