Through CPMC, I learned that exploring Personal Medicine involves believing in and discovering the wisdom within them. Usually, when facing difficulties or anxious moments, one tends to search for the cause, eliminate it, or address it to solve the problem. However, Personal Medicine differed from this usual approach. Improving one's life is not about seeking external factors but rather about listening to one's inner self and exploring how I can make my life more enjoyable. In practicing with others, instead of focusing on the root cause of their problems, asking how to be helpful and deeply exploring that helped me avoid becoming mired in my own issues and move forward to the next steps. Growing as a Personal Medicine coach taught me to trust in a person's inner wisdom, utilizing Personal Medicine cards and guides to focus on the individual's actions. This process allowed me to engage in learning, acting, improvement that apply concretely, even in challenging situations. I found it fascinating that Personal Medicineis not a one-size-fits-all coping skill but rather a unique and personal approach, acknowledging and comforting me as a special, unique individual. As I progressed through the journey of becoming a Personal Medicine coach, I recognized that, often, we believe simply taking medicine or following a professional's advice will solve our problems, thereby surrendering control over our own challenges to external sources. However, with Personal Medicine, I found it appealing that I could create balance and discover my own healing activities. Through this CPMC step, I had the opportunity to learn about specific Personal Medicine and explore ways to discover it. Although identifying Personal Medicinewas not easy at first, it was a precious time of discovering and exploring the inner wisdom within each individual.
