I've been working in the mental health field since 2006 and am currently working with the First Episode Center providing counseling services to members, ages 15-25 experiencing their first episode of psychosis. I have my master’s degree in social work and have had my independent license to practice therapy since 2013.
I started my career in social work as a case manager working for a mental health clinic. I next moved on to work for a PHP/IOP outpatient group therapy program learning to build my therapeutic toolbox. I eventually became the manager of this program for several years before leaving to work for the first episode center. I had spent the majority of my career working with adults that have a serious mental illness and decided that I wanted to work on developing my skills working with children/young adults that have a SMI diagnosis. I was fortunate enough to have find a job working with this population that also happened to be an early intervention program, called the First Episode Center.
I became a Certified Personal Medicine Coach is to further my ability to support people I work with have a better understanding of themselves and what works to help them have an overall better quality of life.
