Pat Deegan and Associates are currently involved in a number of exciting projects. These include:

1. CommonGround: Pat has developed a software program and peer-run decision support center to support shared decision making in psychiatry.  The software program is accessed in a peer-run Decision Support Center in a psychiatric clinic.  Pat has begun to publish papers describing this important innovation (see "recent publications" below).
2. Research: An observational study and randomized control study of an intervention to support shared decision making are underway. The intervention under study includes a software program to support shared decision making located in a peer-run Decision Support Center in a psychiatric medication clinic in Kansas.  This project is in collaboration with the Charlie Rapp Ph.D. at the School of Social Welfare, University of Kansas.
3. Mental Health Systems Transformation - Collaboration with a not-for-profit managed care company in Pennsylvania.  You can view the new website describing this collaboration with Community Care Behavioral Health and the new online recovery learning community.
4. 2-Day Recovery Training Institutes - Each spring we offer a 2-day intensive recovery institute in Massachusetts. All are welcome!
5. Training - We continue to train the MH workforce in recovery oriented practice. Learn more about the trainings offered by us.
